Potencjometr cyfrowy

Witam,

Czy istniałaby możliwość zastąpienia potencjometru 47k potencjometrem cyfrowym 50k? Potrzebowałbym takiej aplikacji, żeby sterować prędkością wentylatora logiką binarną. Wstępnie upatrzyłem układ MAX5436 (dokumentacja na stronie http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/MAX5436-MAX5439.pdf). Czy taki scalak nadałby się do tego celu ? Pomijając oczywiście montaż SMD, który nastręczy dość utrudnień, zastanawiam się, czy układ regulatora nie zabije scalaczka. Będę zobowiązany za pomoc.
